Online retailer warns of possible payment card data breach
If you have purchased items online from clothes retailer skalkur.fo from 28 August up to and including 5 September, your payment card details may have been leaked.
Skálkur warns on its website that hackers have accessed the site and that they may have gained access to credit card information.
The website is temporarily down while the company investigates the incident.
Skálkur cites IT experts who recommend that customers whose data may have been compromised should freeze their payment card immediately and order a new one from their bank.
Any expenses related to freezing the card and ordering a new one will be reimbursed by Skálkur.
