A total of 19,145 households were registered in the Faroes on 1 July this year.
This is an increase of 353 on 1 July last year, according to Statistics Faroe Islands.
There were 4,973 households with one adult (aged 18+) and no children, and 4,870 households with two adults and no children.
The Faroes had 636 single-parent households on 1 July.
