Nice and quiet since Russian ships left
Residents near major ports say they can finally rest and enjoy life

People living near major ports are enjoying a much quieter life now that up to 90 percent of Russian ships have disappeared.

This is according to interest organisation Heimafriður (A quiet home), which aims to combat noise pollution.

The number of noise complaints from residents has dropped by 80-90 percent.

This figure is in line with the 80-90 percent decrease in Russian ships docking in Faroese ports since the partial port closure was implemented a couple of months ago.
